Hello Tech Talkers,
As we prepare to delve deeper into Innovation Month, we're excited to announce a special focus on the remarkable women who've made significant strides in the technology landscape. These are the pioneering minds who have shaped our digital world and continue to inspire a new generation of tech enthusiasts.
One such pioneer is Ada Lovelace, often recognized as the world's first computer programmer. In the mid-19th century, Lovelace worked on Charles Babbage's early mechanical computer, the Analytical Engine. Her extensive notes included what is considered the first published computer program, and she foresaw the potential for a machine that could process information beyond simple calculations. Her contributions laid the foundations for modern computer programming, despite not being widely recognized during her lifetime.
As we gear up to celebrate Innovation Month, we're working on a blog post that will honor influential women in tech, including Hedy Lamarr, Dr. Erna Schneider Hoover, Marian Croak, and Judy Estrin, among others.
In the meantime, we'd love to hear from you. Who are the women in tech who inspire you today? Who are the rising stars and the established innovators that deserve recognition? Let's start this conversation now, and keep the spirit of innovation alive!
